All companies have an obligation to provide their employees with a safe and secure work environment. They create safety programs, insist on employee training and have occassional meetings.

But at HCL we believe safety is paramount.

Our goal is to prevent even one accident from occurring. We put the personal health and safety of our employees first - whereever they are.

For HCL safety is the core belief of our business and all employees work to the highest standards taking immense pride in all jobs they undertake. Our people are our greatest asset and the basis for our success. We believe that we owe it to our employers to help keep them and their families, communities, our clients and contractors healthy and happy. And thus we have just embarked on a rigorous programme of training 100% of operatives up to NVQ level 2 in Construction Operations & Plant Operations. 80% of the operatives have also completed their NRASWA course. All operatives have CPCS card. This is in addition to the qualifications our tradesmen already possess. We employ a wide diversity of skilled tradesman & all operatives are multi skilled in the rigorous demands of the construction industry.

In 2009 we attained the status of Investors In People an achievement we are very proud of.

Our fundamental business strategy is building long-term client relationships. With more than 65 years in the industry, we have attracted and retained clients by providing superior customer value -  in fact, over 90 percent of our work is repeat business from loyal clients.
